Title: Interesting Discussion About AJ Comments on Finebaum Post by: Marshal Dillon on February 24, 2014, 02:37:21 PM There was a follow-up on AJ's comments about 5 star entitlements on the last season team. Finebaum was talking to a reporter who talked to 3 other Tide players at the Combine, Norwood, Kuandijo, & Pagan. They all agreed with AJ that the young players (freshmen, I assume) were not happy with their situation (like playing time), including being redshirted. The players said the young players were told that most of them had redshirted and that's what happens when you come to Alabama. Apparently, the chemistry between the younger & older players were not good. The 5 star players from 2013 were:
Johnathan Allen Rueben Foster A'Shawn Robinson OJ Howard ??? If you don't come to Alabama to compete and show you are the best man, your here for the wrong reason. There is a lot of good talent that has been red shirted because they couldn't step out of High school and start at college level. JMHO! RTR!

No one on the list was redshirted. In fact all buy Foster played a lot. I think they are using the term "five star" to mean highly recruited player which can include anyone we sign. I was wondering about that since I know some of those guys did play. Also, they may have been referring to guys who were redshirts from 2012, too. In fact, Finebaum was ripping AJ for his attitude on Barker and Del Greco's show (The Overdrive?) yesterday morning. He said something like, "If I said a few of the things AJ McCarron has said off the record about the people of Mobile, he wouldn't be able to get a free glass of water in that town." Prolly true; AJ has made some stupid comments since the last 2 games. But Finebaum has jumped on this "Bama's dynasty is over" routine of late. He's playing to the Aubs again, and trying to whip up controversy. Hopefully the Bama players will set their goals to prove him DEAD WRONG. :popcorn2: Title: Re: Interesting Discussion About AJ Comments on Finebaum Post by: N.AL-Tider on February 26, 2014, 08:29:24 AM There has also been a lot of talk about AJ being a male sexual appendage.
