Traina pitched one of her better games. 4 hit shut out, 5 BB and 9 K Fla St loaded bases in 7th with 1 hit and 2 walks Traina struck out the batter for the final out. She pitched only 3 2/3 innings, gave up 3 hits and 4 runs while walking 7 and striking out 4. I hate to see that happen to her because she has had such a strong start. Bama's defense also made 3 errors today. Florida State is a top 10 team. Bama's defense also made 3 errors today. Florida State is a top 10 team. Two of their hits should have been scored as errors, and some of the walks and hits came after the 2 out errors were made. I think the only earned run that they should have had was the home run that Traina gave up. Can't blame any of this loss on Jury, critical errors by Richards, Hunt, and Lafaelo cost them the game. Scoring only 1 run in each of the last two games means that the defense and pitching have to be near perfect (like Traina last night) to have any chance of a win. So there's pleanty of bame to go around. |
