THE RISING STAR

Chris Black has become a bit of a fan favorite despite his limited playing time over the past two seasons. The reasons are numerous, as Alabama coach Nick Saban often discussed how Black would have played and contributed in the 2012 season he missed because of a shoulder injury. In 2013, Black delivered whenever he received the opportunity, as he caught two touchdowns and ran for another during various mop-up duty appearances. The player that has occupied the spot on the depth chart in front of Black over the past two seasons (Jones) hasn't gone anywhere, but the departures of Norwood and Bell should conceivably open up some opportunities for a player as talented as Black. He's kept a level head and said all the right things throughout the process. He could soon be rewarded for his patience...

We've got the best WRs we've had in years.
Ah, to be a QB at Alabama these days!

The rec group looks good for next year and the future.  The major question will be if there are enough balls to go around?   Also, will some be happy with limited playing time?
