I've read he's a decent guy but he can't buy a break. It's incredible to think the same thing happened to center Sam Bowie in the 1980's, also the first choice of the Trailblazers (over Michael Jordan).

I feel for the guy, too, but I also wonder if Portland fans wish they had taken Durant now. I know the Blazers probably needed a big man, but it must be tough to see how well Durant is playing to know you could have had him.

Yep, Durant was the 2nd overall choice & AL Horford was the 3rd pick. Durant and Horford have had very solid years in the NBA, so far. Joakim Noah was the 9th overall pick. Like I said, in the 1984 NBA Draft Olajuwon was the first overall pick, then Sam Bowie to Portland, Michael Jordan to the Bulls, Sam Perkins 4th and Charles Barkley ws the 5th pick. |
