Title: ESPN: SEC position rankings: Offensive line Post by: pmull on June 17, 2011, 03:42:13 PM ESPN has rated Alabama as the best O-line in the SEC. We have 4 starters returning. Check out the barns rating of 11, just ahead of Vandy.
Quote 1. Alabama: Four of Alabama’s five linemen from a year ago return, making this one of the team’s strongest units. The returners have combined for more than 70 starts at Alabama. Barrett Jones is the star of the show. The junior has been the Tide’s starting right guard each of the past two seasons, but took reps at left tackle and could be asked to move. William Vlachos is back at center and could be the best at his position in the league. Fellow starters D.J. Flucker and Chance Warmack are back and took reps at left tackle this spring. http://espn.go.com/blog/sec/post/_/id/23844/sec-postition-rankings-offensive-line Title: Re: ESPN: SEC position rankings: Offensive line Post by: BAMAWV on June 17, 2011, 04:25:17 PM Both the Tide and the barn will start new QBs. Ours will be behind one of the best OL in the country, while theirs will be running for his life. Didn't Warmack have the lead on Douglas before his death? LT is still a question mark, but someone (CK) will rise to the challenge.

Warmack was ahead of Douglas as far as I could tell. I heard Warmack was more comfortable at guard. I hope CK can come in and keep Jones at RH. Our line is in good shape whatever happens. The barn's QB is in for a rough year. |
