Title: Mikey White goes 5-for-5, homers twice in Alabama's win over Samford
Post by: pmull on April 30, 2014, 09:27:58 PM
Alabama picked up a much needed mid week win against Samford tonight. Samford entered the game 26-18 and beat Auburn twice this year. They are a decent team. We needed this win to get the week off to a good start with #3 Florida coming to Tuscaloosa this weekend.

Samford's biggest problem on Wednesday night was that Bulldog pitchers couldn't get Alabama shortstop Mikey White out.

The former Spain Park standout, now a sophomore at Alabama, went 5-for-5 with two home runs, three singles, four RBIs and four runs scored in the Crimson Tide's 9-5 win over the Bulldogs.

That is good news, Bama has missed the bats of White and Saleem this year in the lead off roles. There's no doubt their bats will be needed this weekend.
