Taking game 1 would be big. I hope Turnbull has a good outing tonight, and we get some runs.
Title: Re: Baseball: Florida at Alabama Post by: Leewillie on May 02, 2014, 06:57:02 PM I simply cannot understand what our coaching staff has against a bunt.
White leads off the game with a single, does Salem bunt him over to second? No, he does not even attempt a sac. bunt, but rather hits in to a double play. That's baseball 101, why don't we get it? >:( Title: Re: Baseball: Florida at Alabama Post by: Leewillie on May 02, 2014, 07:18:55 PM Same situation in the 2nd inning.
Wass leads off with a double. No attempt to sac. him over to third. Left stranded on second. Title: Re: Baseball: Florida at Alabama Post by: pmull on May 03, 2014, 06:52:05 AM We got a good start out of Turnbull. He went 6 innings giving up 2 runs (only one earned) on 3 hits. He did his job. The bull pen did not do theirs.
We made three errors and they lead to 3 unearned runs. We out hit Florida 10-7 but we walked 9 batters, UF walked none. Walks was the difference in winning and losing this game. Justin Kamplain is on the mound today. He has been strong in his last few starts. We need a good outing by him this afternoon. Bama is playing better, leading 3-1 after 4. Lots of walks and base runners for each team. :popcorn2: edit: 3-2 going to B5. Title: Re: Baseball: Florida at Alabama Post by: Jamos on May 03, 2014, 06:21:55 PM Bama loses 4-3
Title: Re: Baseball: Florida at Alabama Post by: pmull on May 04, 2014, 07:33:29 AM It was a good game we just came up on the short end. I am impressed with UF. They are a solid team.
UF 4 8 0 Bama 3 7 1 We need today's game. I like our chance with Keller on the mound. Title: Re: Baseball: Florida at Alabama Post by: 2Stater on May 04, 2014, 04:52:47 PM Much to my chagrin, the collapse in game 3 of the UT game has apparently affected the 6 inches between the ears of the baseball team. UF is on the verge of sweeping Bama's baseball team. They lead 7-3 in the 8th.
