Title: CECIL HURT: Nothing wrong with a little exuberance Post by: Jamos on May 04, 2014, 06:31:09 AM Even a curmudgeon like me, though, doesn’t mind a little spontaneous emotion in sport, especially if it doesn’t involve taunting opponents or opposing fans. Athletes should be happy when they win, and especially happy when they win something important like a Southeastern Conference championship, a tangible reward for a full year of hard work. Something to be celebrated.
Thus, it is time to defend the dogpile. http://www.tuscaloosanews.com/article/20140503/NEWS/140509897/1015?Title=CECIL-HURT-Nothing-wrong-with-a-little-exuberance Title: Re: CECIL HURT: Nothing wrong with a little exuberance Post by: Chechem on May 04, 2014, 06:36:18 AM Even a curmudgeon like me, though, doesn’t mind a little spontaneous emotion in sport, especially if it doesn’t involve taunting opponents or opposing fans. Mizzou coach, Ehren Earleywine, is a DOG PILE. Title: Re: CECIL HURT: Nothing wrong with a little exuberance Post by: pmull on May 04, 2014, 07:44:08 AM The Mizzou coach was interviewed between innings Thursday night and I thought he showed class in the way he complemented our program and players. However, he is out of line saying anything about a small celebration after a team wins the SEC Championship. If he don't want teams celebrating on his field he needs to win the game.
Any team in the SEC would respond the same way we did when winning the SEC. Roll Tide and shut up bit**.
