The first game will be at 12:00 and will be televised by CSS. The second game will be tonight at 7:00. Sunday's game will start at 1:00 and be carried by CSS.
Game one starters will be Spencer Turnbull for the Tide and Arron Nola for LSU. Nola may be the best pitcher in the league and is projected to be a top 10 draft pick. He is 7-1 with a 1.58 ERA. Justin Kamplain will pitch Game 2 for Bama. Arron Nola pitched a 4 hit shutout for LSU. He is the best college pitcher I have seen in a long time. I can see why they project him a top 10 pick in the draft. Turnbull pitched a good game for Bama. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. Very rare for both starting pitchers to go the distance but that happened today.

They could really help their tournament status if they could win today and the series.

If we win today, take 2 of 3 from State next week and win a minimum of 1 game in the SEC Tournament we should be a host. We will be a # 2 seed at worst. We go to JSU (#102) on Tuesday and host Miss State (#42) this weekend. The MSU series is huge we need to win that series to remain in the running for a host spot in the NCAA Regional. Note: Regional hosts advance 80% of the time according to CMG. |
