Redshirt freshman quarterback Parker McLeod will transfer from Alabama, sources close to the situation tell BamaOnline.

Don't know where yet, but who didn't see that coming?

Well at first when I saw the name McEachern High School, I didn't think he would make it. In all fairness he did come to Alabama and will leave as a part of the family because he is doing what is right for him for sure. He sees the talent around him. I sure wish you the best Parker for being a part of the Alabama family. RTR!

There is a lot of good competitors trying for one spot. QB has to be the hardest position to earn the starting spot on any team. I imagine he wants to go elsewhere and get some playing time. I don't blame him and hope he finds a school that works out well for him. I hope he can look back at his time in Tuscaloosa with fond memories.

It's a shame he couldn't keep the tradition going where a 3rd "Mc" in a row would win a NC.  8)

I'm OK with starting a new tradition with Coker, Sims or any other QB as long as we win the NC.

Hope he finds the 'right' place and makes good use of what he learned at Bama. Guys like this work hard and deserve our good wishes.

Seems like a really good kid. A team like UCF could probably use him right away since Bortles is now in the NFL. I wish him the best, wherever he lands.

He's a redshirt freshman.  Sure there are guys ahead of him, but plenty of time to develop.  I suppose  Bateman being ahead of him doesn't help though.  So it's not just a question of immediate playing time.
