Title: J. Palmer on Arky Football schedule
Post by: Catch Prothro on May 30, 2014, 06:01:23 AM
Jesse Palmer thinks Arky will be lucky to win 3 games this year (like they did last year).  SEC East opponents are Georgia and Mizzou.  Non-conference games are N. Illinois, Texas Tech, UAB and Nicholls State.

Not sure I agree, but I haven't seen them on the practice field.  Commentators think it might take a while for Arky to turn it around.

Also, they were critical of Arky's "smash-mouth" (proposed anyway) style of play, saying Arky is trying to do what  Bama and LSU already do very well, with lesser talent from a smaller talent pool.  Well I think they probably got that one right, although I might add in coaching.

I'd like to see a bigger body of work (more than one season), but it seems to me that Bieliema is finding out that beating Indiana, Purdue, and Minnesota each year ain't like trying to knock off Bama, LSU, and A&M.

BINGO!!!! That's what I have been saying since he first arrived and started running his mouth. Also, you left out Big Ten "powers" Northwestern, Iowa, Illinois, and an average Nebraska. Plus, they have added mighty Maryland to their schedule.
