"Defensively, we have a long way to go," Saban said. "I think we missed a lot of tackles. We had a lot of young players that are getting a lot of opportunities because of the players that we have out.

"We have a lot of defensive players that are out that if you added them up in the two-deep, that's quite a few guys."

We need to have the starting 11 all healthy at once to have a meaningful scrimmage.
Drake had a big day against the 2nd team (which was 2nd after 2nd moved to first due to injuries).  Do Drake's stats mean anything?  He's healthy, at least.

With Drake, I consider any game type situation where he doesn't fumble, doesn't get benched, doesn't piss off a coach & doesn't get suspended a win.

Yes, joking aside (my Drake comments were only partly serious), I think the most positive thing about the stats is that Drake played a lot.  To me, that says the coaches are planning for him to start behind Yeldon.

WE NEED HIS TALENT ON THE FIELD.

I agree. When his head is on straight he is a beast! And with inexperienced QB, we'll need the running game to be strong to take pressure of them.

I will be there Saturday to watch the team scrimmage and get my opinion of the team, hopefully the team will have a good day.
