Scenario No. 1: Blake Sims starts, and Jake Coker comes out of the bullpen. This option would have to be considered the leader in the clubhouse at the moment.

Scenario No. 2: Coker throws the first pitch, and Sims takes over in relief. Plausible if not probable. Sims earned more kudos Monday because, Saban said, “he’s more comfortable in doing the things we do.”

Scenario No. 3: Sims starts and throws a complete game, shocking Jimbo Fisher and the rest of the college football world.

Scenario No. 4: Coker throws the first pitch, the last pitch and every pitch in between, making every fall camp comment from the head coach about his quarterbacks look like a massive smokescreen.
