For instance, Sammy Sosa hit 60+ HR 3 times but how many times did he lead the league in those 3 years? Hey, I know it's not football but I'm desperate.

For instance, who hit .406, won 7 batting titles, won the Triple Crown TWICE, and has a lifetime batting average of .344 (or .342, not exctly sure)? Yep, Ted Williams, so really Johnny Damon couldn't wear Williams jock, much less carry it.
