So now, what Kiff is doing seems out of character for a Bama O. But CNS seems to be saying this is O the way it oughta be. Very interesting. It's not mentioned in the article, but Saban says that his prior OCs have mostly wanted to run the ball, which worked out OK when Bama had dominant defenses. But he's happy finally using the offensive talent on the field to attack the perimeter. (Happy being relative; he still bemoans the penalties and turnovers.)So now, what Kiff is doing seems out of character for a Bama O. But CNS seems to be saying this is O the way it oughta be. In fact, that is probably one of the main reasons he went out and talked to Lane in the first place. That being said, I would hate to be a DC that was having to game-plan against a team with stallions at every offensive position the way Bama does...
