Almost refreshing news compared to what's been happening to athletes lately.

Apparently Georgia self reported. Refresh my memory. Didn't Green make money off a jersey & was suspended 4 games? ??? I don't remember how many games he was suspended for but that sounds right. I do remember that the problem was he sold a jersey that he had worn in a bowl game. I think he is finished at Georgia if this is true. Not going to help his NFL status, either.
Quote On Thursday, University of Georgia officials suspended Gurley indefinitely, while the school investigates whether or not he was paid to sign large quantities of jerseys, helmets, footballs and other memorabilia that is currently being sold on eBay and by other retail outlets. http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/11676187/sports-memorabilia-dealer-bryan-allen-hires-lawyer-allegedly-paid-georgia-bulldogs-rb-todd-gurley-autographs  Title: Re: ESPN is reporting that Todd Gurley is indefinitely suspended Post by: N.AL-Tider on October 10, 2014, 02:34:04 PM If he is finished at Georgia then that helps Will Muschamp a bit. UF might actually have a chance against the Dawgs without Gurley...

If Ole Miss and Bama wins the rest of their games Ole Miss wins the conference but our only loss would be to the #1 team. That would get us in the playoffs. I do not see Ole Miss winning out. Only losing one could win the West. However, there is a very good chance of a 3 way tie then tie breakers get difficult to figure out unless one team beat both of the others. I want Gurley to come back. He is a good player. His violation is minor in my opinion. Slap him on the wrist, sit one game out and come back with a chip on his shoulder.
