Title: Top 5 Candidates to Replace Michigan Coach Brady Hoke Post by: Marshal Dillon on October 09, 2014, 08:35:48 PM You're not going to believe who some of these "candidates" are.
Quote 4. Dan Mullen Dan Mullen Mississippi State Dan Mullen is a very intriguing candidate. He took a Mississippi State program that only had one winning season in the eight years before he got there and led them to four winning seasons in his first five full seasons there. This year he has the Bulldogs off to a 5-0 start and they are a legitimate National Title contender. Mullen has worked under Urban Meyer in the past and helped develop the likes of Alex Smith and Tim Tebow. http://www.rantsports.com/ncaa-football/2014/10/07/michigan-football-top-5-coaching-candidates-to-replace-brady-hoke/#slide_1 :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: Title: Re: Top 5 Candidates to Replace Michigan Coach Brady Hoke Post by: KoKoPuf on October 09, 2014, 09:04:52 PM Michigan or Florida. Great point, I forgot that Mushamp is probably gone after this year. Mullen has to go at least 10-2/11-2 to have a chance for the Florida job. Title: Re: Top 5 Candidates to Replace Michigan Coach Brady Hoke Post by: pmull on October 10, 2014, 09:05:16 AM If Florida fires Muschamp (UF only has one loss in a weak East they could back into a decent season but I doubt it) I think they go after a big fish. Mullen is a decent coach and has done OK at State but I would not consider him an elite coaching prospect. Florida can do better than Mullen.
Les Miles seat could be warm at LSU if he does not get this season turned around. He could be high on Michigan's list. What about Hugh Freeze? Does he stay at Ole Miss or go for the big job if it becomes available? I am a big believer that coaches almost always stay mostly in the region they are from, if born in the South, they pretty much stay in the South. Rich Rod at Michigan is the perfect example of someone out of his element. Freeze is from Mississippi, so he could move to Florida or even…….LSU. Wouldn't that cause an earthquake at Ole Miss? :D Title: Re: Top 5 Candidates to Replace Michigan Coach Brady Hoke Post by: ricky023 on October 10, 2014, 02:43:32 PM This is very intriguing to me to say the least. I see the harbaugh brothers and think nope to much money in the NFL. Grass Chewer INC. would be my first thought. Mullen as it has been said, I don't think he is ready for a stop like Michigan. To many big shoes to fill. You go from a place with nope hope to a place that expects you to win every game yesterday. To much media and fan anger would be my guess. Just looking to see what others think. RTR!
