Title: Vikings to Sever Relationship with Adrian Peterson
Post by: Marshal Dillon on October 09, 2014, 10:59:05 PM
No NFL team wants to deal with this stuff now. Plus, Peterson is 29, old for a RB so he is expendable.

This shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise considering all the well publicized questions surrounding running back Adrian Peterson. According to ESPN’s John Clayton, the relationship between Peterson and the Minnesota Vikings is “severed” and the expectation now is that Peterson will be released even if the case is resolved.

This is sad for Adrian but could have far reaching implications for the NFL and even lots of young men.  The message is loud about treating women the right way and behavior overall.

Not pre-judging AP's court case.  There are facts yet to come out.  But MD's right that no team want's to deal with these distractions.

These sports figures need to learn that cheating with drugs, and beating women because you think your a man but really you only have a terrible sickness. Why don't you find a young and upcoming boxer and just beat on him or are these guys to scared? Lordy would never go to sleep if I hit Mrs. Dottie. I would know better. lol, RTR!

I can't say that I am surprised. The Vikings are taking a chance, and considering all the blackeyes the league and the Ravens have gotten as of late, this was probably a wise move on their part.

I really believe the Vikings see this as an opportunity, score brownie points with the public, eliminate a distraction, get rid of a RB who will be 30 1/2 when the NFL starts next year, & save a boatload of money.
