RTR!Ricky, Coach Saban recruited Jameis Winston hard. Read the old article (above). CNS and Coach Sunseri did a home visit, and did a good job of recruiting him. And Coach Saban even agreed to Jameis playing baseball at Alabama during spring practice. But the decision came down to timing. Jameis would be redshirted at either FSU (behind EJ Manuel) or Alabama (behind AJ McCarron). But he'd play as a RS freshman at FSU. At Alabama he'd still be on the bench as a RS freshman (when AJ was a senior). That made the decision, not Coach Saban's great intuition. Better question: Is Coach Saban sorry he missed on Jameis? But I caution you, the internal-disciplinary hearing is not a court of law. It's senior faculty and staff reviewing Jameis' behavior.
