Title: Nick Saban & Jimbo Fisher Post by: Marshal Dillon on October 15, 2014, 04:22:33 PM Well, we've seen how Jimbo Fisher handles star athletes at FSU when they get in trouble and really all the football players. Would you want him to replace Saban in say a year or two if Saban retired? Do you think the Board of Trustees would hire him? I would be interested in hearing the opinions of others before I say anything.

Next the answers to both is NO because I hate to know this type of integrity would be taught to players from this school. Secondly I do not think the Board would hire him. He has showed no remorse toward the proposed victim and family. If he is this win at all cost type of persons I would not want my kids being taught by him. I don't even know if I would allow my kids to play with his because if he is this way at FSU then he probably runs the same idea at home. Really shameful. JMHO. RTR!
Title: Re: Nick Saban & Jimbo Fisher Post by: cbbama99 on October 15, 2014, 06:16:42 PM I'm not sure. I think Jimbo is a great coach, but I get this "inmates running the asylum" feel from FSU right now.

Title: Re: Nick Saban & Jimbo Fisher Post by: 2Stater on October 15, 2014, 08:04:45 PM I don't like talking "What if" scenarios involving a new coach at Alabama. "What if" Coach Saban reads CRS? :-\

Half or more of what we talk about is a form of what if, such as predicting scores, what opponents might do to us in a game, how we can still win the West, make the 4 team playoff, who replaces a hurt player, Muschamp being fired & his replacement and so forth. :spitball: Title: Re: Nick Saban & Jimbo Fisher Post by: pmull on October 15, 2014, 09:07:17 PM I think it is too earlier in Jimbo's career to make a set in stone decision on his coaching ability or character. Today I say no. Ask me in 5-10 years and my answer may be different.
I do not like his "coach in waiting" type hire at FSU. I do not like the way he has handled Winston and FSU discipline in general. However, I think he is showing he is an above average coach. All the other "what if's" are ok. Like "What if our special teams were really as bad as some people think?" :lol2: Title: Re: Nick Saban & Jimbo Fisher Post by: Marshal Dillon on October 15, 2014, 09:22:10 PM I don't like talking "What if" scenarios involving a new coach at Alabama.
