A gambling website has alleged that Jameis Winston shaved points in the first half of the Louisville game. The website alleges that Winston and a former high school teammate conspired to wager $5500 to win $5000 on a first half line of Louisville +1. The Seminoles trailed 21-7 at the half, winning Winston's high school teammate his wager.
According to the website it was the biggest bet that Winston's teammate had ever placed with the bookie.

Boy, I can't wait for a thorough investigation by JSU, Jimbo Fisher, and the Tallahassee PD to get to the truth of this matter.

If true, Jaboo has redefined the word STUPIDITY.

Can someone be banned from all football?

You just made a great statement. This will cause NFL teams to run & hide at any possibility of involvement in gambling. I bet NFL security is already checking.

Do you realize that you just quoted a Clay Travis article??  You can't believe anything you read on the internet, and you can't believe anything Clay Travis says.  So, when Clay Travis says it on the internet, it is probably untrue to the 10th power. :)

But, it would be crazy stupid, even for Jameis, if it is true.  So, thanks for posting.

Firday-morning update:

So far, none of the top sports sites has run with this story.  But it's rampant on the discussion boards and sports forums (fora?).

Finebaum reported it as a rumor.

Gotta keep the fires stoked on this boy. And at least one good thing will come of this: Jameis did it and will be perma-banned from football, which will be a relief to everybody except Jimbo; or Clay Travis will be exposed as the scumbag liar that he is.

It's win-win!  :lol2:

I bet nothing will come of this either. Looks like the horseshoe manufacturer that supplies the barn, is starting to mass produce.

It will be interesting to see how much interest UAB has in this, it might get a little more interesting. I wonder if this is the first time something like this might have happened between the two of them, phone records don't lie. :-\

Good point, J.  But phone records require law-enforcement participation, and this is just a university issue thus far.

More news media picking it up:

7-1 that he did it!

10 to 1 that if he did it, he won't get caught.
20 to 1 that if he is caught, he'll play the rest of the season.
50 to 1 that if he did it, and if he gets caught, Jimbo will tell us what a good kid he is.
