Title: It's time for Bama to either PUT UP or SHUT UP!! Post by: Jamos on November 15, 2014, 06:40:39 AM After all of the talk about how good Bama is or how good they could be, the time has come for them to show how good they really are. I don't think Bama wins today with a mediocre performance as we have seen them play in some past games. State is for real and people say you can't win on "ole mo", but I disagree with that. If you can play on momentum for 60 minutes, you can win.
There's no tomorrow for the team today, it's either win or find themselves a bowl game to play in after the season is over. When Bama lost to Auburn last year their season was over as we witnessed their pitiful showing against Oklahoma. We all know the Auburn game is yet to be played and we don't want a give up attitude when they play them as they did against Oklahoma. Put up or shut up Bama. ROLL TIDE!!!!!!! Title: Re: It's time for Bama to either PUT UP or SHUT UP!! Post by: Chechem on November 15, 2014, 06:58:28 AM So true, Jamos. Today is THE DAY.
Hard to believe, but we find ourselves this late in the season still wondering about this team. Should they be characterized by the A&M game, where they played almost flawless football. Or is the character of this team typified by the Arkansas game, where they stumbled to a victory after being beaten for 60 minutes. Today is Blake Sims' day to silence the critics. Maybe he did at LSU, but he still received criticism for the 3rd-quarter collapse of our offense. But today he can lead the team against a #1-ranked SEC team that wants this game in the worst way (hopefully not the best way :lol2: ). I'll put my stock in Sims, expect him to hit the passes and let the receivers do the rest. And I expect him to have a good day running the ball. Unusual for us, but I think we'll need to win with the passing game. Our O-line is still limping, so I doubt we can consistently blow the MSU bloated dogs off the line unless we soften them up with a passing game first, get them running sideline to sideline a few times, then punch them in the gut during the 4th quarter with a power-run drive to finish them off. Post by: N.AL-Tider on November 15, 2014, 08:21:32 AM I think that this game hinges on two things. 1. Bama has to keep containment on Dak and keep him from beating us with his legs. If we let him get loose the game could get outta hand. 2. Our OL will have to give Blake three to five seconds to find Cooper and Co. and throw to them...

Our OL will have to give Blake three to five seconds to find Cooper and Co. and throw to them... With Miss State saying they would be using single coverage on Cooper (could be a lie), that pretty much says that Sims can expect a very heavy rush from the state defense to shorten his time to throw the ball. Hopefully Sims can read the defense and throw to the short routes which takes much less time and maybe open up a lot more for the offense to do. Title: Re: It's time for Bama to either PUT UP or SHUT UP!! Post by: KoKoPuf on November 15, 2014, 09:56:49 AM Depends on which team shows up, but I am concerned that so many of the fans and "experts" think it is going to be easy. For the record, I am more worried about this game than any this year. I think it is critical that we don't let MSU get off to a fast start.

I hope...Kirby gets the D adjusted faster than he did vs. LSU....that LK gets the O adjusted MUCH faster than he did vs. LSU...that #72 is never on the field when O is in the red zone....that Bama has a decided possession time advantage in the first half. Bama can win this game if team plays up to its capabilities. Title: Re: It's time for Bama to either PUT UP or SHUT UP!! Frankly, I was more concerned about LSU last week than I am MSU. I think Bama makes a major statement today. Title: Re: It's time for Bama to either PUT UP or SHUT UP!!
