This game had especially deep implications for Mississippi State (9-1, 5-1): To continue the best season in its 115-year history, it would have to topple the sport’s modern dynasty, Alabama. Alabama had won 76 of 98 times in the series. It had claimed 15 national titles. It had the statues of five coaches, including Saban, in front of its stadium. And Mississippi State had, well, Dan Mullen. Well somebody made you make those mistakes, I think it is called Crimson Tide. RTR!

I don't know why the press likes to paint Saban this way. He was clearly happy with the win, even going into hyperbole. He also was downright giddy after the LSU win. I think he is really enjoying coaching this year. He likes this team, the players have bought in and are playing together as a team. Blake Sims credited everyone but himself for the win, even though he was instrumental. Still, it was a team win. Quote “Yeah, we had them,” Prescott said. “It was just stupid turnovers.” Our defense dominated them and they scored a TD in the last 40 seconds of the game to make the game look closer than it was and "they had us." Wow. :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: Title: Re: "What they're saying across the country after Alabama takes down No. 1 Mississippi State" Post by: Catch Prothro on November 16, 2014, 07:41:28 PM Like most MSU fans, their QB is delusional. We gave them the underneath stuff knowing it would run out the clock by the time they scored, and protecting against the big play.Quote “Yeah, we had them,” Prescott said. “It was just stupid turnovers.” Our defense dominated them and they scored a TD in the last 40 seconds of the game to make the game look closer than it was and "they had us." He won't say anything, and he hopes we all forget. Just a blowhard who hopes his predictions will gain fame. He will make a small comment about it, then never mention it again. Title: Re: "What they're saying across the country after Alabama takes down No. 1 Mississippi State" Post by: 2Stater on November 16, 2014, 08:10:53 PM Speaking of people around the country, I wonder what Colin Cowherd is going to have to say after he stated the Bama dynasty was over and Gus was the best coach in Alabama? I accidentally tuned in to his TV show and all he talked about was himself and how he goes commando. TMI, Cowturd, TMI. Title: Re: "What they're saying across the country after Alabama takes down No. 1 Mississippi State" Post by: SUPERCOACH on November 17, 2014, 12:26:03 PM Like most MSU fans, their QB is delusional. After we took a 12-0 lead in the first half MSU never had the ball with the opportunity to take the lead. They pulled within 6 points and we scored on our next drive to make it 25-13. They scored again with 0:15 remaining and failed to recover the onside kick. MSU can hold their head high and say they played a good game. Claiming they should have beat us is just not true.
