Title: POLL WEEK 15 GAMES Post by: Catch Prothro on November 16, 2014, 09:38:23 PM I don't think there be much opportunity to vote for Week 15 games because mostly it will be conference championship games which may not be decided until Saturday night, plus the Big12 spotlight games. Also, probably will be hard to find more than 10 games anyway.
Title: Re: POLL WEEK 15 GAMES Post by: Chechem on November 17, 2014, 05:29:47 AM I'm feeling it. Gotta find some games to pick. 8)
Title: Re: POLL WEEK 15 GAMES Post by: Catch Prothro on November 17, 2014, 08:09:43 AM These are the games scheduled so far:
7:30 PM UCF at East Carolina Thursday Iowa State at No. 4 TCU TBA No. 13 Kansas State at No. 7 Baylor TBA Houston at Cincinnati TBA SMU at Connecticut TBA Temple at Tulane TBA Oklahoma State at Oklahoma Plus there will be the ACC, Big10, PAC12, SECCG, Mountain West, MAC, and Conf. USA championship games. So there should be enough to easily fill a 10-game schedule. But it will be hard to put a vote together because many games won't be decided until Saturday. Excluding the SECCG would give us 6 other championship games, plus KSU v. Baylor, OK St. v OK, Iowa St. v. TCU, and then slim pickens. Houston v. Cincy might be the best choice, or UCF v. E. Carolina. Or we could just schedule the SECCG and everyone can pencil in Bama. There is no line for Kansas State/Baylor because the starting QB for Baylor may have a concussion. Since the pickings were so slim this week, I went ahead and included it as a pick anyway. The line would probably be small, if there was one.
Once we get news on whether or not he will play, you may want to revisit your pick and adjust accordingly. If they ever listed a game line with Bama -98 (or more), I might consider it. Not really, never mind. August 4, 2014 Quote I attended fan day and watched the drills very carefully. I saw nothing that would persuade me to favor Coker over Sims. Sims threw some very nice balls, and Coker threw a disturbing number of INTs. Coker throws the ball on a rope, which can be useful, but also lead to knock downs and ints. He needs to learn to drop it in as well as drill it in. The thing about Sims that was troubling is that he does not use his eyes to keep the secondary and lbs playing honest. He zeros in on his intended target, everyone goes that way, his guy is covered, and it is too late to check down. If Sims can get over this, he may be able to get more open targets to throw to. If he is really clever, he can use his tendency, which no doubt is already in everyone's scouting report, to bait the D into cheating. Stare at Amari for a few secs and wing it down field to a wide open DW who the safeties have abandoned. Coker is a helmet above the others. He clearly has a size advantage That has got to be a plus in finding the and and 3rd check and seeing the DBs. Of the other three, Alex Morris laid a few long balls in for TDs that had the crowd pretty stirred up. I think Chech and I have a bet about starting QBs. I'm sticking with Sims from what I saw Saturday. Hail to Sims. Hail to Coker for the way he supported Sims and embraced his important role as backup. What a season.
