Title: Crimson Tide Land Record 16 on SEC Media Days Preseason All-SEC Team Post by: ssmith general on July 22, 2011, 05:10:31 PM Quote HOOVER, Ala. - Alabama landed a conference-record 16 players on the 2011 SEC Media Days Preseason All-SEC Team, including a record nine first-team selections, the conference office announced on Friday. The nine first-team honors broke the record of eight set in 2010 by Alabama and Florida in 2009. Offensive lineman Barrett Jones and center William Vlachos joined running back Trent Richardson on the first-team offense. Richardson was also named as a first-team pick as an all-purpose specialist. It looks like they are counting Trent twice for first team since he made it for 2 different positions. |
