Too little, too late? Maybe just use common sense and don't have a guy up during tornado force winds.

Ridiculous over reaction and failure of root cause analysis.

How about,

1. No filming during winds exceeding XX MPH (some safe speed determined by an engineer)

2. Anchor the stupid tower.

Or

3. Drop a few bucks on a permanent structure.

It's the same knee-jerk reaction that all businesses have whilst living in such a litigious  society over the past 20 years. This country has become law suit happy and people immediately make rash policies on situations such as this because of it.

I heard a teaser like the title here yesterday on the radio.  I thought it was a limit on weight lifting.

How about a comparable knee-jerk reaction at Ohio State: fire Tressel.

I don't think the NCAA is going as accommodating to Tressel as OSU. 2 game suspension, give me a break.

I am curious if perhaps this was part of some sort of negotiation between ND and the parents of Declan Sullivan. You know ND is getting sued and perhaps part of the agreement was that they would remove the use of those lifts.

I agree 100% that it really is a failure at root cause analysis and repair, but maybe they didn't really have a lot of choice at the table full of lawyers.

No doubt they had one bad lift. I have worked out of these things for years never had one to do that with me. I worked out of 60FT. lifts and they bounce and such but if you control them easy and slow you will be fine. I think they overreacted. RTR!

What? Go slow? The whole thing tumped over due to gale force winds.

I think preacher was driving a moving lift from the bucket  :o.

Preach, the one that dumped over was a metal tower and the wind was like 50 plus.  Kid tweeted that he was going to die.

Oh well I apolgize because their was not good sense used in this matter from the start. Nobody gets on a steel tower with wind that high. That is an OSHA violation from the start. RTR!
