Blake Sims has risen to become the heart and soul of the Crimson Tide: opinion
(http://media.al.com/alphotos/photo/2014/12/07/16520869-large.jpg)Alabama's season started with a who's-it-gonna-be coin toss at quarterback. And now the Tide is being led into college playoff history by an SEC MVP champion.

Next thing you know, Alabama is the lone survivor of the cannibalistic SEC West, Blake Sims is named SEC Championship Game MVP in the victory over Missouri, and the Tide is the No. 1 team in the country going into the first-ever College Football Playoffs, where they'll take on Ohio State on New year's Day.

It takes a whole team to win. But a positive, no-drama, no-ego, team-first quarterback sure doesn't hurt.

And I swear, I think Nick Saban finally has a team that brings a smile to his face. The coach looks like he's having fun this year. ...

I think Blake is 1/11th of a good offense. I think Landon is 1/11th of a good defense. I think JK is 1/11th of a good punt team. I think Adam might be 1/11th of a good kick off team. I hope I am not to brash. RTR!

Good points, except for JK Scott.  He is 10/11th of the good punt team.

For example, the Aubs and Missouri didn't return any punts, but our 10 guys were there in case they were needed.
