Title: Navy-Army game today
Post by: cbbama99 on December 13, 2014, 08:32:45 AM
It doesn't matter what the records are or the fact that probably none of the guys in this game will play in the NFL. I love watching this game every year just to see a small sample of the men who will be protecting our country in the years to come. It is always special. I have never been to a N-A game, but I have been to two Navy home games, and it sends chills up your spine to see the Midshipman march into the stadium. Hats off to both sides, but I have to be for the Middies today. GO NAVY!!!!

Well said. I've always wanted to go to one.

My favorite part of this game is when it is over and both teams show respect for each other by taking turns singing each academy's Alma mater.

I have never seen the cadets march into the stadium but I bet that runs a chill down your spine.

It does. Last year, South Alabama came up here to play Navy in Annapolis. Of course I was for the Jags, but watching all those Midshipmen march in together is a sight to behold.

Almost a cure for Alabama football withdrawal.

Game is at 2:00 pm CST on CBS.  Will we get Gary and Verne?

7-7 at Halftime.

Navy just kicked a 45 yd FG to go up 10-7 with 9 minutes left in the third quarter.

I love watching the "Army"/Navy game as well.  I also tend to get emotional watching the game and even the commercials they show.  I would absolutely LOVE to attend one of those games sometime in my life.  This one was a really GREAT old-fashioned brawl.  Reminded me of some of Bear Bryant's games...
