Title: Merry Christmas
Post by: pmull on December 23, 2014, 01:47:52 PM
I am getting ready for Christmas. My youngest daughter is home for Christmas break from UNA. My oldest daughter will be coming in this afternoon. We go to B'ham for the day tomorrow to spend Christmas Eve with my family. We will come back to Decatur tomorrow night and open presents with my wife and kids on Christmas morning before heading to Atlanta to spend a few days with my wife's family.

I want to wish all my CRS friends a Merry Christmas. I hope everyone is able to take a few days off, relax and enjoy the holidays with your family and friends. If you are traveling, be safe.

Roll Tide and Merry Christmas everyone.

Same to you, pmull. We've done all the traveling we're going to do for Christmas. Breddy and the grandson will be spending the night tomorrow night, as we found out that Santa will be coming here. Christmas Day, we will have everyone but the youngest daughter and her husband over here, including several friends. Will be breaking out the turkey fryer one more time, before retiring it for another year.

For all of you who are traveling, wishing safe travels for you all.

Merry Christmas, CRS!!!

Merry Christmas, everybody. I merged the thread that pmull started in Ferguson with hscoach's here in the Quad. Thought it would be appropriate here in the Quad on Christmas Eve.

I hope everyone is enjoying a wonderful Christmas morning.
Last Sunday I was asked to shape something about Christmas at my church. After thought and prayer this is the outline of what I told the congregation. I hope y'all don't mind me sharing.

There are two important parts to the season we call Christmas.

1)   As children we’re raised in the joys of Christmas.

Of the wonder and excitement of Christmas morning.

Seeing the presents from Santa.

The love of parents watching their children.

I’ve been blessed to experience both in my lifetime and am now enjoying seeing my 2 ½ year old grandson know the joys of Christmas morning.

2)   Then as we grow….we find out what became of that little babe wrap up and laying in a manger.

He stepped out of Heaven and all authority

Instead of receiving Him as a King, beginning at age 2….mankind went about killing Him

It was because of LOVE that Jesus was willing to do this…..for you and for me

Those of you here who have accepted Jesus as your Savior know of what I speak

At some point in our life we have to merge these two into what is truly a joyous and wondrous event.

Christmas

It took some of us…me...a long time to put things into the right perspective.

What about giving gifts at this time of year?

This Christmas give someone you truly love….the best gift they could ever receive….

The Gospel message….of a Savior….who is not a fairy tale once a year

But is alive……and full of hope and truth…..and everlasting peace!

And that’s it for me……

The love for my family…my friends....and the love for my Savior…Jesus

I believe this year God revealed to me true meaning of Christmas…..Love

A very Merry Christmas to all my friends at CRS and here's wishing everyone a very blessed New Year.

Merry Christmas CRS friends!

This was my sixth Christmas in a row in Asia. My wife and I decided not to exchange gifts this year, just had a nice day together and went out for lunch.

Our gift is scheduled to arrive June 13.
