Title: The Battle Plan, Jan. 23, 2015
Post by: Jamos on January 24, 2015, 06:35:55 AM
Several pieces of legislation that will forever change the landscape of major college athletics were discussed over the course of that convention, and I agree with most of the pundits that significant progress was made in the area of student-athlete welfare, which is now - and always has been - the top priority of all of us who work in college sports.

After reading this, I can see the possibility of the beginning of the end for the NCAA. The Power 5 Conference seems to have have leveraged enough power to make their own rules and not be so governed by the NCAA. College football may take on a whole new look in the near future as to a comparison of what we are used to seeing from the NCAA.

Change can make the game better or worse. I hope it does not turn into a mini NFL. I  miss the days of college players being students, staying 4 years and graduating.
