Title: Softball: Alabama vs Florida International
Post by: Leewillie on February 07, 2015, 07:26:29 PM
Bama leads FI 5-0

Don't know what inning.  I've been listening to the play by play broadcaster for about 20 minutes and he hasn't mentioned what the inning is. :pullhair:

During the first game today, one of the FIU players sat on the top step just below us, watching the game. She was obviously in awe.

I would say the talent level of the teams that Bama has played so far isn't as good as what they will play against down the road but it is perfect to get the team started and let's the pitchers and hitters iron out the wrinkles in their game. It's good to see Jury get off to a good start. I noticed a big improvement in Chauncey Bell, behind the plate and with her bat. If Jury can sustain her good start with her pitching and Chauncey Bell and Danae Hays can improve their hitting this team can be very good. Bell and Hays both looked very impressive with their bats yesterday.

I wonder if our team level compares to the championship teams of a few years ago? I know they were great but the young part of this team seems to being stepping up like they really want to be the big elephant of the house. RTR!
