They got the big hit for a three run homer and that was the difference in the game. Both teams played well. Tough loss on the road to a very good team. We need to bounce back tonight. Game 2 starts at 6:30 with Will Carter on the mound for the Tide.

After coming back from a 4-0 deficit to take the 9-5 lead in the 7th last night, I really thought we had grabbed all the momentum, but they let it all get away in the bottom half of the inning. But it is what it is and I hope they learned something from it. You're right in that it should be good experience to take into SEC play. They are indeed a strong program. My youngest daughter and her husband live in Lafayette. We visit them 2 or 3 times a year and we regularly drive by the ULL campus. Very impressive. He had a solid bat too. As, I think I remember he was good at defense also with a gun for an arm if I am thinking about the right one. RTR!
