Very difficult match up for us. They are a NIT #2 seed but the ESPN guys seem to think they should have made the NCAA Tournament. Miami would have been one of the better teams in our league.

I hope the emotions from CAG being let go that generated so much energy and inspired play are still there.

I live in NC so I watch a lot of ACC basketball.

Miami is a good team. 5 of their 8 losses were to ranked opponents (UL, ND, UNC).  They beat dook by 16.

They had an inexplicable loss by a huge margin to GAtech and that is probably what kept them out of the NCAA.

To your point pmull, if Miami was in the SEC they would most likely be ranked #2 in conference behind UK.

Yeah, still not sure how NC St got in and they didn't.

Yeah, still not sure how NC St got in and they didn't.

State beat dook, UNC, and UL.  Lost to ND in OT by 3.

Miami only had one win (dook) against a ranked opponent.

At halftime of our Illinois game Miami had already advanced so they knew who the winner of our game would play. They talked about Miami having several very good wins but had too many bad loses and the bad loses kept them out of the NCAA. I have not looked at their schedule to know who those bad loses are.

I hope we get bad Miami rather than good Miami.

I had forgotten all about this game. It is going to 69 here today and I had been working in the yard. Good excuse to take a break!

Google roll tide and go to the basketball site. Go to the schedule and it will show today's game. It says listen. Hit that. Let me know how it goes.

Bama down by 5 at the under 8 minute break. These announcers are terrible. I feel like I am listening to the Miami radio team. They favor UM way too much.

4/23 on 3 pointers is killing us. Make that 5/25, 20%.  66-57 Miami.

Season is over. We end up 19-15 and a very disappointing year.

Congratulations to Levi Randolph and Rodney Cooper. They played their hearts out for 4 years. Coop had 20 today and Levi 17. They can be proud of their careers. Both are 1000 point scorers and that is rare. Too bad they never had a quality big man in four years to help them out.

In the Grant era I will fondly remember Coop, Levi and Trevor Releford as my favorite players.

Now Bill Battle has to do his job. We need a coach and he needs to be a winner. I hope we get a big name that creates a buzz and gives us a reason to look forward to next year.

:'(, you know pmull I have set back and tried to watch our program in Basketball grow into a big time team. I am afraid it is not going to happen. I think we are another Kentucky where they work on Basketball and football is not that important. However, we right backwards from that, our Basketball is not as important as football. I don't know. You can have all 5* on a team but if you have no coach to keep their minds right and their talent level being raised it just ain't going to happen. God Bless Alabama. RTR!

The team fought hard but ran out of steam with about 8 minutes left.  They get an A for effort.

Moussa Gueye was not my favorite player but BAMAWV gave him my favorite player nickname... 9ft goofball.
