Fascinating.

How good a job is the Alabama basketball coaching gig? Perhaps better than many of us think.

Alabama is a surprising 14th in a recent Forbes magazine ranking of college basketball's most valuable teams, placing the Crimson Tide third in the SEC behind only Kentucky and Tennessee.

Forbes put Alabama's team value at $12.3 million, rising 41 percent in the last year with $15 million in revenue and a profit of $8.2 million.

A sleeping giant. All we need is the right coach and a dominate post player.

I was thinking similar stuff. How much would it make if we were a contending team going to the NCAA Tourney on a regular basis? I bet you could double the profit.

When things are going well, Coleman is packed for every game.  Bama has a good core already, we just need a coach who can take the current players to the next level and a year or two down the road start to bring in some players who will be real difference makers.  Glad to hear that UA is prepared to go big.
