Taylor Guilbeau pitched a great game. He held LSU scoreless for 8 innings. Bama went into the 9th with a 1-0. Guilbeau gave up two earned runs before he got relief help. LSU is ranked #3 and have a team batting average of .330 which is second best in the NCAA.

We tied the game 2-2 with a run in B9. Both teams got 2 runs in the 11th. Both teams got 1 run in the 13th. LSU broke the tie with 3 runs in the 16th.

LSU   8-12-1
Bama 5-10-1

Game 2 is this afternoon at 2:00. The game was moved from this evening to the afternoon to try and get the game in before expected bad weather tonight.

Alabama is swept by LSU. We lost Game Three 6-4 in 13 innings. We had a runner throw out at the plate in the 9th. We left the bases loaded three times and left 15 men on base. We had our opportunities in this series going 16 innings in Game One and 13 innings today but could not pull out a win. We are very close to being a good team but we have to figure a way to win these close games.

LSU    6-15-0
Bama  4-14-3

Our three errors all game in the 13th inning allowing the winning run to score.
