Paquiano is 3-4 years past his prime. I do not doubt that he was hurt but I also doubt it would have mattered if he was healthy. He needs to take the money (big money) and retire to his home country that is in much need of a hero and role model.

I do not doubt that he was hurt but I also doubt it would have mattered if he was healthy. He needs to take the money (big money) and retire to his home country that is in much need of a hero and role model. From my experience, this injury definitely took some of the power out of some of his punches.
I hope Congressman Paquiao will now retire from boxing while he's still healthy and near the top. He's made a lot of $$$ and is a hero in Philippines. Time to go home and focus on his political career. He could be elected President. Stranger things have happened out there. It's a common injury for pitchers causing them to lose their "power" when throwing. It had to have an affect on Paquiao since he is a power puncher.
