Muschamp has proven to be a good DC but even the best coaches need good players.
I think Auburn has let the recruiting services do the player evaluations for them since Tuberville was coach. They recruit on the defensive side of the ball by stars. They have not recruited players that fit their scheme and have not been able to develop them. I do expect the Auburn defense to improve under Muschamp but they have a long way to go and I do not know if it can be fixed quick. I also think practicing against the spread zone read offense hurts the defense. It is hard to find a good defense on a team that runs that offense. Just look at the Big 12 defenses. They were getting all the gurls and glamour >:( in high school and they come to the SEC and find out your not what you made your own mind believe you are. Gut check time. RTR!
