Title: Alabama preseason practice report Day 3
Post by: pmull on August 07, 2011, 05:54:07 PM
Alabama hosted its annual Fan Day at Bryant-Denny Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Admission was free and open to the public for their only chance to witness a full practice for the season. Afterward, fans stormed the field for a 45-minute autograph session. Beforehand, select players met with media for interviews in the north end zone before they sat in the bleachers for the 2011 team photo.

Alabama opened its full practice Sunday giving fans and media a rare view into the intense preparation for the Crimson Tide. Some standouts include freshman receiver DeAndrew White and freshman offensive line Cyrus Kouandjio. White worked with the first unit during three-receiver sets. He has already earned strong praise from coaches Nick Saban and Jim McElwain.

Arie Kouandjio was helped off the field after an apparent leg injury, then placed on a golf cart and driven off the field beneath Bryant-Denny Stadium. His brother stood by him the entire time until he was carted away.

Arie Kouandijo walked across the grass at Bryant-Denny Stadium less than an hour after he had been carted off due to an apparent leg injury.

"I'm good," Arie Kouandijo said as he walked with both knees wrapped in ice making his way to a table to sign autographs in conjunction with Fan Day.

He had been helped off the field earlier with an apparent leg injury, then placed on a golf cart and driven off the field beneath Bryant-Denny Stadium. His brother, Cyrus Kouandijo, stood by him the entire time until he was carted away.

The Kouandijo brothers are both competing for playing time along Alabama's offensive line.

That is scary, I hope it's nothing that will keep him out of practice, he can help this team.
