Why did my story get moved?

When he moved it to the Home page, I bet it got removed from the Quad by accident. He'll see this and correct it.

Yes, I am sure it was an accident.  Unfortunately I cant retrieve it from there.  SC will have to do it.

OK, it is back now.  Sorry about that.  Apparently what happened was a spammer came along and posted a spam message on that topic.  Then one of the mods came along and accidentally deleted the thread instead of just the spam post.  Fortunately everything does go to the recycle bin instead of being deleted for real.  I moved the topic back to the quad, then deleted just the spam post.

b/c these guys are real serious about not having the red and blue marbles mixed together.

yeah, spammers are bad, but so are overzealous control freaks with OCD.

What is worse than that is people who clearly see the sign that says red marbles in here, blue marbles in there, and then put the blue marbles in the red bucket on purpose just because they think the rules don't apply to them.

I looked through the last 5 pages of topics on the Quad, and I only saw 2 moved topic notices.  The first was where charlesscal deliberately posted on the wrong board a few minutes ago, for the 3rd time.  The other was where I moved the Kuiyam thread to the Hall of Fame.  So much for his theory about overzealous control freaks with OCD constantly sorting the blue and red marbles.

Normally I am very patient with people, but he made it obvious he was doing it on purpose just to cause trouble.  The first 2 times we just politely moved his post to the right place and let it slide, although he was pretty belligerent to the mods that moved it.  This time he essentially dared us to ban him.  I was happy to oblige.

I looked through his 50 posts before I banned him.  His biggest contribution was a bad attitude.

So the lesson here is this:  posting in the wrong board will NOT get you banned.  Posting in the wrong board, being a smart aleck to the mods after they move the post to the right place, then posting something saying they have OCD because they get upset (not true) when you post to the wrong board, THEN deliberately posting a topic to the wrong board just to see what will happen MIGHT get you banned.  If you normally have something to contribute and are just having a bad day, the post would probably just be moved (again) with little fan fare.  This guy contributed nothing here as far as I could tell.
