Title: Super Regionals
Post by: pmull on June 06, 2015, 07:53:46 AM
The SEC has 5 teams in the Supers with 3 teams hosting.

Florida beat FSU 13-5 to take a 1-0 in the Gainesville Super Regional. Game 2 Sat 4:00 ESPN2.

Arkansas beat Missouri St 18-4 to take a 1-0 lead in the Fayetteville Super Regional. Game 2 Sat 1:00 ESPN2.

Other Matchups:

Vandy @ Illinois (Sat 7:00)
A&M @ TCU (Sat 2:00 ESPN)
La-Laf @ LSU (Sat 7:00 ESPN2)

I think we have a good chance to have 4 teams advance to Omaha.

I would love to see the SEC put all those teams in the world series.  sec! SEC! SEC!

I saw most of the UF/FSU game. What domination of a historically good BB program. Danny Kanell will probably declare ACC BB as the best in college and that this was a fluke.

More like"The total comeback for FSU on Florida, fell just a little short".  :lol2:

We were 4-16 against the 6 teams on our schedule that made it to Super Regionals.  :( The difficult schedule and all the travel did us in this year.

The SEC went 3-2 in the Supers on Saturday.

Florida advances to CWS with the sweep of FSU winning Game 2 11-4.

Missouri St beats Arkansas 3-1 to force Game 3 today at 2:00. Miss ouri St is the #8 national seed but they are playing at Arkansas because Miss St shares their field with a minor league team who has games scheduled this weekend.

TCU takes Game 1 over A&M 13-4. Game 2 is at 1:15 on ESPN.

LSU escapes a late rally by beating LA-Laf 4-3. Game 2 is tonight at 6:00 on ESPN2.

Vandy beats Illinois 13-0. Game 2 is tonight at 8:00.

Vandy and Florida clobbering their competition.  These two sound like the teams to watch.

Arkansas up 3-2 in B8 over Missouri St.

Arkansas wins 3-2 and advances to Omaha.

Florida and Arkansas are in meaning the SEC will have a minimum of 25% of the CWS field. The SEC still has LSU, Vandy and A&M still alive.

I think at least 1 other SEC team, probably Vandy, will go to CWS.

The Arky-Mo St game was a good one, as was TAMU and TCU. All SEC teams are still alive that aren't already in.

I said in the opening post that the SEC has a good chance of getting 4 teams in. I still believe that. I think LSU and Vandy both make it. A&M only needs one more win but TCU looks like a tough out to me.

LSU beat LA Laf 6-3 to join Florida and Arkansas in the CWS.

Vandy and Illinois were rained out yesterday. Vandy is up 1-0 with Game 2 later today. Vandy only needs 1 win to advance. Illinois must beat Vandy twice.

A&M and TCU play Game 3 tonight with the winner advancing.

I think you are right about TCU. They are a very good team and TAMU was lucky to get away win a win yesterday. I would like to see them do it again today, but if I was a betting man, I'd bet on TCU.

You never can tell about the Vandy-Ill game. Look at the Arky-Mo St series. Arky pummeled them in the first game, but lost game two, and barely survived with a win in game three. Illinois is a good team and they are playing at home. Vandy will still have their work cut out for them.

Vandy ain't Arkansas. Illinois had a good year but I like Vandy. I still do not know how Vandy was overlooked for a national Top 8 seed. They are defending National Champions and one of the best teams in the country.

Yeah, I do think Vandy is the better team. I'm just saying that it may not be as easy as we'd think. Then again, they might just put another pounding on them.  :popcorn2:

I'm a little shaky about their team. All hit, no pitch, like Sumlin's football team.

I guess someone at the NCAA screwed up & didn't schedule the SEC against one another to prevent an SEC Final. I think the UF/Miami game could be good. We know how much they love each other.
