"He did a really good job in Orlando (for the bowl game) of focusing and concentrating and really practicing hard," Bama defensive coordinator Kirby Smart said of Kirkpatrick Sunday. "I don’t know if a light clicked on in Orlando, but I remember when we came back from the bowl game, I looked in the weight room in January, and he was in there working out. I thought that was a little out-of-character for him to be down there by himself when there is not a group down there. He was really working hard, and I think he has really bought into that."

"Dee Millner was a freshman (last season) and regardless of what position you play and your potential to be a good player, football is a developmental game so you are going to get to be a lot better player past your freshman year," Nick Saban said Sunday. "He did a really good job for us last year.

This is something I have been waiting on ever since Dre signed the LOI. He was so hyped and I began to think he would never be able to get there. This hopefully will be the year for both of them. RTR!

I will feel really good about this group after the Arkansas game. If they hold up against that offense we are well on our way.

Yep, Arkansas is the first chance we get to see what the team is made of.

We will learn a lot at Penn State but Arkansas will be our first big test. They have a running game to go with their wide open passsing attack. If we can shut them down we can shut down anyone in the conference.
