Title: Jesse Williams takes first steps in comeback after losing kidney to surgery
Post by: Jamos on June 17, 2015, 06:19:45 PM
Seattle Seahawks defensive tackle Jesse Williams has bench-pressed 600 pounds. At the NFL Scouting Combine in 2013, he benched 225 pounds 30 times. Now, the former Alabama standout is working out with 15 pounds.

Jesse is tough but he is going to need a lot of luck in this battle. It seems there are still some traces of the cancer after the kidney was removed which I think will mean he will have to take some kind of treatments for the traces that were found. Hopefully all of this is considered to be in the early stages which in many cases enhances the chances of a cure.

Our prayers are with you Jesse and your family as well.

"They found traces of other stuff still there, so I've still got a little ways to go," said Williams, who's awaiting a September checkup to learn his next step.

Darn it! When he was cleared to practice, I was hoping that meant they got it all.  :(

Will continue prayers for Jesse, Kuiyam, and the rest of the family.
