Title: QB Braxton Miller & Ohio State Saga
Post by: Marshal Dillon on July 23, 2015, 08:56:39 PM
Incredible. I never saw this coming.

Quote
The idea of switching to wide receiver first came to Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller in April, when he discussed it with strength coach Mickey Marotti. In May, he brought up the possibility to coach Urban Meyer and the two began watching film of star wide receivers together. Later that month, Miller began sneaking on the practice field at night to catch balls from quarterback J.T. Barrett. Miller kept the potential switch from quarterback to receiver secret, a fallback plan in case he couldn’t return fully healthy to playing quarterback after two shoulder surgeries, the latter which caused him to miss all of last season.

There was a lot of speculation that he might do that. I wonder if he struggled with a decision of coming to Bama to potentially play QB, or do this at tOSU?

It could be after two shoulder surgeries that his throwing arm isn't the same, and his chances at playing WR might be better at OSU than Bama.   ???

Very could be the answer CP because I don't think he would be able to get ahead of any of our WR's at Alabama. RTR!

That is a good point. It will be interesting to see how he does at WR this year.

It is just too bad that Sunseri isn't still playing for us because he would gladly de-cleat him...Be fun to watch...

Didn't he say something like "I'm the best QB in the country" a couple weeks ago?

Yeah. Urban thinks so too, bud. So much so, that he moved you to WR.

43 days to the first game that will lead to us making the playoffs, hopefully, against tOSU. Would love to get them again.

Hey bud. Good to see ya over here. Looks like AHM/GDS/CheeseandJuice ruined the Woolly for good this time.

Any other Woolly criggas migrating over here?

OSU should be the favorite, and team to beat this year.  The Barn is a trendy pick in the SEC, but I don't see it.  LSU had a young team last year that improved over the season; I think they might be more challenging than Auburn.

Oregon and FSU were both exposed in the playoffs last year.  Bama was close, but too many mistakes to win against a good team.  I also would like to see Bama v. OSU this year, in the Championship Game.  Those were the two best teams last year.
