Before we have a celebration, let's see what his status is in mid-October. I'm worried about him.

No!  Let' celebrate the fact that he came back from his surgical battle with cancer AND IS GOING TO PLAY FOOTBALL AGAIN as you in particular, emphatically stated he wouldn't.  When he lines up on the first play and gets to hit someone he has won the battle.  There will likely be more battles to come but the first time he hits someone he has won and that is celebration worthy...

Not really. it means he played one series. I worry about the man's health. Google  the name, Dave Dravecky, former MLB pitcher and read his story.

I disagree.  He had the cards stacked against him when he was diagnosed.  He also caught some breaks that went his way that helped him accomplish something that you stated multiple times WOULD NOT HAPPEN.  Here is the thread where you made that statement. (http://www.crimsonredsports.com/index.php?topic=34160.0)  So, IMO, when he plays that first down he wins and you eat crow... enjoy.   :lol2:

I am pulling for Jesse to not only play in a preseason game but to play a meaningful role in the Seahawk's DL rotation. He has fought an uphill battle and so far he is winning.

What a touching moment to see him back on the field again. Congrats to him for all of his courage and hopefully this is the beginning of all of the dreams he had of playing professional football.  #+

It also had to be a very special moment for Kuiyam and family. May God's blessings be with all of you.

After a long day, I couldn't stay awake to watch the whole thing. I convinced myself that he wasn't going to play, so I went to bed. Dadgummit!  >:(

But, I am tickled to death he got to see the field for the first time as a pro. It's been a long time coming!

Edit: Ok, I forgot he saw some action in a couple of preseason games his first year. But still...............

So I should eat crow because I stated my concerns for his health, stated that since he had renal cancer (and lost a kidney) he would not play football again. How is that the basis for eating crow? I don't get it.

You made a statement as matter of fact that turned out to be 100% wrong.

I made an opinion based on the facts we were given & my personal concerns for his health & well-being. I'm still very concerned about him. Eating crow is when someone makes a prediction like when almost no one in sports like writers & broadcasters thought our 1992 Alabama team would beat mighty Miami. Eating crow over someones health issues is silly and over-the-top. Your health is way more important than football. Football is frivolous compared to one's health.

Eating crow is where you make a blanket statement like you did that turns out to be 100% wrong, like you were...Learn to admit when you were wrong, it really is ok to be wrong sometimes, this is one of them...

You really don't have a clue, do you? This is a health issue, not football. I expressed a sincere, heartfelt opinion about a man's health issues. Obviously, the team & NFL have cleared him to play. Now, let's hope nothing happens to him and he has a solid career.

Sure, I have a clue.  What you and I have been talking about in the last few posts is actually neither a health issue nor football except for the fact that both brought us to this discussion.  I am extremely proud of and for Jesse for battling back to the point where he can play football again.  I also hope he is totally, 100% cancer free and has a long NFL career and a healthy, happy and long life.  I'm glad to know that you too want him to be healthy but that is just an attempt to distract from the point that we (well, me since you are avoiding admitting you were wrong) have been discussing in our last few posts.  Are you just that arrogant that you cannot admit the fact that you were totally wrong when you said
He won't play football, again.

You also said:

Is someone's life really worth arguing about just to"being right" about it?

No argument, just stating facts. The man has an excellent chance at a recovery, but he won't play football. Football is nothing, life is everything.

So, thankfully Jesse is on the road to recovery and will hopefully play more football.  That is something that all Bama fans can rejoice in.  Also, you were wrong, therefore enjoy eating crow...
