Title: Four Big Time College Football Programs That Might Not Match Their Hype 2015
Post by: Marshal Dillon on August 19, 2015, 09:55:20 PM
I agree on #2, 3, & 4.

ALABAMA

Quote
If the Crimson Tide don’t win the SEC, make it to the College Football Playoff and win it all, the season will tilt more toward unsatisfactory. Couple that culture with the fact that the Tide hasn’t named a starting quarterback — will it be Jake Coker, David Cornwell, Blake Barnett, Alec Morris or Cooper Bateman?

MD I too agree with #2, #3, and #4. I don't think we have as grandeur as most teams because we are young, no QB and injury plagued. Right now, I would say we are just hoping to win against Wisconsin, and beat Auburn and Mouth of the South Malzan. I have just about to lose what integrity I had for that guy. Anyway, Usc I don't think will beat Stanford and possibly ASU. UCLA I don't think will challenge them much. You know UCLA has not been good since the years of Gary Beban at QB. The rest will come out in the wash of course. RTR!

I agree USC is being overhyped.

The team missing from the list is Auburn.  They never live up to preseason hype.  Hopefully that will be true again this year.

The barn does not qualify for the list because they are not a "big time college football program". HTH

You are correct that they never live up to preseason hype when they are expected to do well.

Nah, I wouldn't do that to you, ricky! Just be a little on the busy side here lately, but I should be back now. O's are driving me nuts, though.

They're doing better than the Braves.

Understatement of the year. At this rate they will lose 90 games.

HL's Dodgers are doing well despite getting no-hit by the Astros last night.

I think Bucky needs to get some offense going for the O's. Injuries hurt. I bring HL is going to happy this year, I can actually see the Dodgers holding off the Giants and maybe even getting to the WS. RTR!

We could use some starting pitching, too. I was really hoping we would go out at the trade deadline and pick up another arm. Right now, the starters (especially Ubaldo and Miguel Gonzalez) have been getting shelled.
