Title: The Best QB in the NFL
Post by: Marshal Dillon on August 22, 2015, 02:00:38 PM
Have I missed something the last 3 years?

Griffin, speaking with WJLA-TV, maintained that he's not only the best quarterback on the team -- he's also the best in the NFL, though even he concedes it's more of a nod to his competitive nature than reality.

"I feel like I'm the best quarterback in the league, and I have to go out and show that," he told the station. "Any athlete at any level, if they concede to someone else, they're not a top competitor, they're not trying to be the best that they can be.

He's not even the best QB inside the Beltway.

I know one thing, he better learn to stop trying to outrun NFL linebackers or he will be the most injured QB in the NFL.

Telling people you are the best QB in the NFL is like telling people you have class or integrity. Those things have to be earned and if you have to point it out you probably are not what you think you are.

RGIII was OK before, not the best in the NFL, before the Skins played him when he was hurt a couple of years ago. He has never been the same since then.

He ain't no where near Russell Wilson over at Seattle. Gosh, he can play cause he is hurt all time. Somebody lied to that boy. RTR!

Jim Rome, on his radio show yesterday, blasted RGIII for the comment. He said exactly what CB said, he's not even the best QB on the team.

I personally don't have a problem with his statement. Why would he say that he isn't the best qb on his team? That type of thing would tend to help destroy his own self confidence. I personally like that he is being positive about his own ability. Now, I don't know about the way he said that, did he sound arrogant and cocky? Or was he just trying to be upbeat and confident? :dunno:

One of the things I have heard over and over up here since he made the comment is that there is a difference between confidence and arrogance. I don't think RG3 was trying to be arrogant judging by his tone, but I'm not really sure that actually SAYING this was necessary. Can you imagine, Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, or Drew Brees saying something like this? In my opinion, if you really are the best, there is no need to try to convince someone that you are. I think RG3 is whistling past the graveyard right now.

BINGO!! Now I'm reading that Jay Gruden put him on the field on purpose to get him punished (hurt). Crazy stuff going on.
