"Alec has done a nice job all [preseason]," Saban said to reporters. "I think he does a really good job of understanding the offense. He helps the other players play better. And I think that he has probably shown command at the position, which I think is important. We've just got to continue to work on touch, accuracy, efficiency. But I've been really pleased with what Alec has done in this camp."

The stock market is more predictable than the QB competition.   :popcorn2:

Any word on the outcome of Coker's foot transplant?

Any word on the outcome of Coker's foot transplant?

After reading the tea leaves, it appears that the injury was a toe problem.
Maybe an ingrown toenail, maybe a broken toe, maybe turf toe, maybe a transplant.

Whatever the details, the toe put him behind Morris and Bateman (and maybe others) in the chase for 'starter'.

Many folks are hinting that the real problem was not the toe, but the north end of his body!

Wasn't Coker's foot, it was Saban's. Had to be surgically removed from a part of Coker's anatomy.

I don't think Coker was a starter from Spring, it was just a figment of our imagination because he had been in the system a year and was old. JMHO. RTR!

We'll know when we know, when Saban tells us.  Until then, I don't think this speculation is helpful.  I liked Morris a couple of years ago, but we only get glimpses of these guys.

Just a guess but I think CNS has a couple of QB's he thinks we can win with. His problem is not finding a good QB it is finding the one that is best for our team this year.

Agree. I think we have 3 QB's he feels okay with. This is the deepest we have been in a long while. Plus, Kiffin can coach them up.

As a cup half full kind of guy, I believe that whoever starts at QB will be ready. Kiffin will design the O around him like he did Sims.
My prediction (for what it's worth) at QB? I think it will be Coker on a short leash.  :popcorn2:

I think we are looking at a game mgr. someone like McElroy. CNS is looking for someone that won't get him beat. Morris maybe be that type of guy.

I'd much rather have a guy with "moderate" (as if being good enough to be an SEC QB is moderate) physical talents who who is a leader and won't cost the team any games than a guy with spectacular talent who can't manage the offense or make good decisions.  And I really think we have at least 3 guys who can do the job well enough to keep the team in title contention, Saban's just waiting to see who is the best guy for the job.
