Title: Why NCAA couldn't, and wouldn't, give Miami the death penalty Post by: Jamos on August 18, 2011, 07:58:49 PM When I read stuff like this I just get infuriated, because I look back at what the NCAA did to Bama for nothing compared to what Miami has done. There is no way Miami can skate on this one but the freshest thing on my mind about the NCAA is the Newton deal and so far he has skated. >:(

The NCAA is like the little Dutch boy putting his finger in the dike (no jokes, please) and there's twice as many holes than fingers. It was easy for them to b**ch slap Bama back then, because the ramifications of doing so was minimal on college football and the NCAA. But now, look at all the teams with major infractions. If the NCAA punished them all like they should, a great deal of revenue will be lost because of those severe sanctions. I'm not defending it. I'm like you, mad as hell. But you can bet it's the truth. It's all about the money. I guess OSU let out a sigh of relief knowing there's another school that went beyond what they are accused of.
