Post by: Chechem on September 17, 2015, 05:48:42 AM Quote When he got to Corso's house and the group was debating what to do with the goalpost, he offered to cut it up into pieces. The group agreed and so off Watson went on Sunday to Home Depot to rent a jigsaw for a few hours. Home Depot employees immediately had a good idea why a 20-something guy was in early to rent a saw. "You're cutting the goalpost, aren't you?" they asked him. Watson demurred, rented the jigsaw, bought a few blades and before long was cutting up a huge piece of Ole Miss memorabilia. Corso gave him a list of people who deserved a piece of the goalpost and Watson factored that in when figuring out how to cut it up. He put the goalpost on top of a ping pong table, with a towel underneath to prevent scratches, as he began his work in the driveway. The pressure was on as the group watched Watson make his first incision. He admits it wasn't great. "My first cut was probably not my best," Watson says. "Whoever got the first little piece got some blade marks, and I apologize. I got a cleaner piece." It was hard work cutting through the big goalpost, but after an hour-and-a-half, it was done... :lol2: :lol2: :lol2: Title: Re: "What happened to the goalposts from last year's Alabama-Ole Miss game?" Money was made on that goalpost; plenty! ;) Title: Re: "What happened to the goalposts from last year's Alabama-Ole Miss game?"
