I remember thinking Star would be a good player for us someday. Shows what I know.

College is a different world than high school.  There are lots of kids who go to college on scholarships (academic and athletic) who have to work hard at something for the first time in their lives.  They aren't used to it, they've gotten by on their natural talents for years and it's a wake-up call that they can't get by that way anymore.  Some of them get it, work hard and are successful.  Some of them don't.

I wish the kid well.  I didn't see (or read) where he was involved in actionable discipline, only that he was tranferring for personal reasons.  The other four mentioned apparently violated team rules.  Tough way to start off their second ever season.

(Oh and hey - sweater vest coach:  "violated team rules".  That's all you would have had to report had you not been so blind and indifferent last year.  But winning is everything to you...right?)   :think:

He would have been had he been willing to change positions, wanting to be a QB was his downfall.

I hope the kid finds happiness somewhere. The bottom line....it's all up to him to take control of his life.

I'm sure he's probably regretting the decision to leave the Alabama program. He is or was a very talented young man. I hope he gets things together and becomes the man he should be.

Why is he having such a hard time. In the A-Day game he looked as if he needed mechanics help and his speed would help out. I thought he would at least be a great back-up QB. RTR!
